Welcome to Topeka Ear, Nose & Throat

ENT Services

At Topeka ENT, we specialize in treating the territory just north of your shoulders.

ENT ServicesIt’s a complex land up there. Four of your five senses call it home. It’s full of nooks and crannies. So when any part of it hurts or seems a little off balance, you definitely want an ENT specialist leading the exploration.

Topeka Ear, Nose & Throat has seven ENT specialists (also known as otolaryngologist/head & neck surgeons), each one a top-notch physician trained to address the very specific conditions and diseases that can affect the precious ears, noses and throats of both adults and children.

We can treat your condition medically with drugs or surgical procedures—or work with our audiology and speech pathology departments to coordinate non-medical solutions such as hearing aids and speech therapy.

Many of our patients have been referred to us after a visit to a primary care physician. But patients visit us directly as well, when they understand the extent and depth of our specialty.

Our areas of expertise include the following:

Allergy Testing & Treatment

As ENT physicians (also known as an Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeon), the doctors at Topeka ENT are really the ideal specialists to see for allergy issues. Specific allergy training is an essential part of otolaryngology board certification.

Dizziness & Balance Disorders

Diagnosis of a dizziness or balance disorder is difficult and should receive the attention of an ENT specialist.. There are many potential causes—including medical conditions and medications.

Ear, Nose & Throat Disorders

While your primary care physician is trained to handle general ENT maladies such as simple infections, there are times when the care of an ENT specialist is recommended.

Ear Tubes

If your child (or you) experiences repeated middle ear infection (acute otitis media) or has hearing loss caused by the persistent presence of middle ear fluid (otitis media with effusion), Topeka ENT often recommends (and can perform at our offices) the placement of ear tubes as a way to allow more air to reach the middle ear and reduce the chance of infection. The average age for ear tube insertion is one to three years old.

Head and Neck, Thyroid, Parathyroid Surgeries

At Topeka ENT, our physicians specialize in treating the territory north of your shoulders. We are both head & neck specialists, and also skilled surgeons, trained to surgically treat diseases and conditions affecting some of the most critical structures and organs in your body.

Nasal and Sinus Surgery

Topeka ENT specialists perform a wide variety of nasal and sinus surgeries to treat conditions that may not respond to non-medical interventions. Many procedures can be done in the ExcellENT Surgery Center, our own outpatient facility located downstairs from our Topeka office.

Pediatric ENT Care

At Topeka ENT, our otolaryngologists all possess the special training, credentials—and compassion—it takes to care for pediatric patients. Our pediatric ENT services encompass the full spectrum of care in the areas of oncology, otoneurology, voice and speech and language disorders.

Snoring & Sleep Apnea

Snoring isn’t just a nuisance, it can be a sign of a dangerous condition known as sleep apnea. The physicians at Topeka ENT diagnose and treat numerous patients whose chief complaint is excessive snoring.

Tonsils & Adenoid Surgery

Addressing issues related to tonsils and adenoids is one of Topeka ENT’s most common patient complaints. Infections of the tonsils and adenoids plague both children and adults, leading to one illness after another. While we are generally conservative in opting for any surgical procedure, the removal of tonsils and adenoids is often simply the best way to end the string of illnesses resulting from these issues.

Voice Disorders

We often take our voice and our ability to swallow for granted. When unexplained problems occur, it can be disconcerting…even frightening. Any unusual symptoms warrant a call and a visit to a specialist like the otolaryngologists at Topeka ENT.
