MonumentSignTopeka Ear Nose & Throat provides adult ENT and pediatric ENT patients with complete diagnosis, treatment and surgical services; as well as hearing exams, hearing aids, speech therapy, cutting-edge allergy treatments and dizziness disorder diagnosis and treatment. Topeka ENT also operates a Cleft Palate Clinic with surgical and therapy services.

Practice Overview

Topeka Ear, Nose & Throat, founded by Michael D. Franklin, M.D., FACS, opened its doors in 1997. Today, the practice services central Kansas with offices in Topeka, Emporia and 10 satellite communities.

The Topeka office features a two-level, 24,000-square-foot facility that houses the Topeka ENT practice on the second level, and the ExcellENT Surgery Center on the first level, used exclusively by Topeka ENT patients for outpatient ear, nose and throat surgeries.

Topeka Ear Nose and Throat is made up of seven ENT specialists and a full-service ENT staff that includes audiologists, speech pathologists, a physician assistant, and the most efficient, friendly office staff in the state.


Topeka Ear, Nose and Throat, PA, accepts most major insurance carriers including Medicaid and Children's Mercy for payment of services.

To confirm coverage by an insurance carrier, the patient and/or policyholder are responsible for contacting “Customer Service.” Contact information can be found on the back of your insurance card. It is also the patient or policyholder's responsibility to obtain necessary referrals and pre-approvals for treatment.

PLEASE NOTE: Effective January 1, 2010, Topeka ENT no longer accepts UniCare.
